When Hurricane Isobel hit NC and VA we had catastrpohic power failures all over the state. Most of the state was without power for two weeks, some rural areas were still out two months later. we had power companies from all over the country here for over a month. I saw trucks from all the surrounding states as well as TX and MO. It was amazing.
After Katrina I saw a caravan of power trucks from Montana heading home in late September of that year.
