I can't imagine. We had a storm come through our neighborhood in July. I never saw official wind speeds. However, there were big trees whose trunks were snapped in half. Based on that, we figured that the gusts had to be about 80mph. Those winds lasted about 5 minutes.

Think of it as a tornado that stays for days.It's moving at 11 mph. As far as storm winds are concerned, it's a 6-10 hour event, with wind speed equivalent to a strong F2, though without the shock of sudden onset. Stop scaring people.
