Looks like Haiti .....they would get clobbered....they always do .....many of the people live in shacks and very little protection against water running as we have seen.....even a tropical storm floods much of their Island areas.
I laughed y fanny off when Clinton began her ads on the Weather Station.....soooo Clinton-esk......then they turned it around and said they wouldn’t be running ads because of the Hurricane......but her ads ran quite awhile after they said that.....as long as her name is out there in one way or another she doesn’t care.

HIRES Rapid Refresh 10 meter winds
Erroneous report. NOT overturned tanker.
Overturned cab of a truck that has leaked some fuel...not good but not catastrophic. Whew.
Wow—can’t find any details.
add: this is Freeport, Bahamas buoy.
Nice site - thanks for sharing.
Watching this on tv. Pretty scary. Palm Beach escaped damage it seems. Looking to hit Daytona Beach.
where he’s at, the St Johns River, there are probably not those type of palms. Some of these folks that get stubborn and stay put either have inflated sense of their own prowess, or simply have nowhere to go.
See 784...
First report was wrong.
HURRICANE MATTHEW (2016)

Buoys and weather stations are simply not corroborating the hurricane hunter aircraft reports of wind speed. They are on line; anyone can check them.
Can anyone give me an update on conditions near Ft. Pierce. Just woke up after a nap and we haven’t heard anything! Stay safe and Prayers for all in Matthews path!
We’re in pretty good shape here, but the rains and winds will be incredible.
When they move the warships out of Mayport into the ocean...you know its for real. costs a lot to move those “boats.”
does anyone have a good link to a local TV Channel or the Weather Channel...
WC requires a TV provider to link to them online LIVE...
Another one bits the dust.
that’s scairy...
Hopefully they have good neighbors.
A category 4 hurricaine can sober you up pretty fast.
I’d advise them to get ready to hunker down with the kids in the bathroom.
the winds and rains will force them to stay inside, so at least they won’t be on the roads. Oh, and millenials will ALWAYS have cell ph and laptop access!
There are a number of local news site links in the body of the thread, just below all of the graphics.
