Well, count me among those half dozen.
I cannot listen to a debate, just the thought of doing so raises my BP. My only connection is to read the debate threads.
However, with the last debate, I found that I had to scroll through mountains of Don & Debbie Downer posts. Those were the mild ones. The really horrid posts were from the folks who only post a dozen times, every 4 years...In other words, TROLLS.
Thanks to the few stalwart Trump Train riders who were actually able to get through that morass. After about 200 comments, almost all were gone :(
It's the nature of real-time news combined with unfettered access to the post button, and a relatively well-known site. Much much noise is created. I usually read all the posts in a thread like that, not necessarily in real time, but hours or a day later. I didn't bother to do that with the first debate thread. It was full of garbage.
I don't know of an online resource that has regulated commentary during debate. That said, Tom Maguire at Just One Minute has a small and talented group of commentators, you might check that. Patterico is another lesser-known site that will have a debate thread, I think.
I plan to just watch the debate outright, on C-SPAN so as to avoid the talking head idiots.
