Pence could have countered it better, though, at least by pointing out that Kaine was too immature to allow a respectful dialogue. Kaine had to constantly interrupt because he was afraid to hear a countering viewpoint.
The worst of many interruptions was she asked Kaine a question and then didn’t let Pence answer! Then she asked Kaine another question!
The mod stopped Kaine from interrupting at least once well into the debate, but I suspect she did so only because she got word from her bosses that Kaine’s interruptions were polling very badly, and she had to save his azz.
