I am so glad that I am no longer in the military.

As a former USAF Officer, I ask, “why?” Diversity quotas could add to the “dumbing down” of the force. The military requires men and women who are intelligent, trainable and patriotic.
These qualities are not assured when a diversity quota is mandated.
To put these diversity folks in “key positions” (Command?) will weaken the force and cause those who are talented to have to work that much harder for the mission to succeed!

Ditto - but I also sometimes wish i was still in uniform because of the war on quality and patriotism as they transition to a full-blown social experiment....Retired in '98 and then spent 15 years as a DOD civilian before really retiring in 2014.

I weep for what the military is becoming.

The military should accurately portray the country they represent: half gay, half, black, half female, and half Muslim. It’s only fair, given what those patriots have endured just to serve. No?
