There has been a lot of talk over this presidential campaign about the lack of enthusiasm for Hillary Clinton compared with the excitement and energy among Donald Trumps followers. It is a bit overblown; there are plenty of highly enthusiastic Clinton fans who are very excited to see the first woman president.
But it is nonetheless true that Trump has inspired a group of remarkably passionate and committed followers. And while many of these people have legitimate economic gripes that are finding expression in Trumps angry outsider populism, what electrifies many of them is something else entirely.
They chant, Build that wall! and Lock her up! They cheer wildly when Trump says he will ban Muslims and send refugees back where they came from. They catcall the media and shove and hit protesters while Trump cheers them on from the stage. They enthusiastically endorse his promise to torture terrorist suspects and take out their families and cheerfully back his calls to let the police take the gloves off to restore law and order. They wear overtly misogynist T-shirts that say Trump That Bitch and Hillary Sucks, But Not Like Monica. (A new slogan has recently been added to the collection: I wish Hillary had married O.J.)
Outside Trump rallies, where Confederate flags are commonly displayed and sold, videos show that people are worked up, energized, febrile. Reporters overhear snippets of conversation like You cant trust Latinos. Some maybe, but not most, Immigrants arent people, honey and You know them crazy black girls, how they are. Something feral and undomesticated has been set free.

WHat they call “hate” we call “Traditional values” and “Patriotism”.
Screw these people.
They are preaching to their own choir at this point. No one else is listening anymore. (At least I pray that is true)
Lock her up! Build that wall! muslims get out!
imho, only with a baseball bat
Amen Brother. They’re asking for a Deplorable Perfect Storm and they’re gonna get one November 8th!
Oh, we are of one mind on this truth. They do want to kill us. The "take a pain pill" admission of Obama for older, admittedly conservative, citizens was one eye-opener of many.
I often point out to argumentative leftists that their strategy depends of a large group of opponents to "die off" in order to fully implement their agenda. Very Nazi-ish, to put it mildly.
And we have Labor Secretary Perez just recently implying that it was a good thing that Scalia died so that a deadlocked Supreme Court would let a leftist Ninth Circuit labor decision stand. They would kill all the other conservative justices if they could get away with it.
If they really believe this is true they better hope trump wins. Otherwise a violent hoard of racists are going to postal.
...And they are failing BIGTIME.
yes
it is VERY GOOD how Mr Trump is campaigning for all votes,....
including blacks and Latinos
(something the last couple of R candidates didn’t do)
Mr Trump offers better economic opportunities and more jobs and a lot less racism than Obama/HilLIARy.... these are things all Americans, including blacks and Latinos .... can and will support
Now how exactly is labeling more than half of Americans with a little childish name supposed to help Slick’s wife become president?
That is my prediction. Either have a peaceful revolt or if Trump loses, it goes violent.
racist?, senator Byrd a democrat once leader of the KKK, who they all adored including Hillary and bill who kissed his ring, creating the black congressional caucus to help the white elitist democrats like Hillary keep a lid on their people by giving them HAND OUTS of TAX PAYER MONEY, using their votes time and time again over 50 years or more with promises they never keep, Bill, ted and biden making color comments about the a##clown before he was elected, “a few years back he would be getting us coffee, he doesn’t speak like those other blacks he’s a nice clean blakcman that speaks nice” yeah trump is racist
Another ugly, name-calling lefty projecting. http://www.salon.com/writer/heather_digby_parton/
`When Trump wasn’t name-calling ... ‘
Remember the rule: when they start with the name-calling, they’ve lost.
Yes, Trump may suddenly, unexplainably “commit suicide” alone in some remote park.
Best. Election. Ever!
Oh noes! Not the haters and bigots!?!? It is time for a safe space...
Next thing you know the haters and bigots will be rioting in the streets. Oh wait, they already are.
The Good Old Days.
