TRUMP Surges to Lead in 5 Battleground States This is very good news indeed but is it news? Are these averages reflective of polls done post debate in these battleground states? The headline seems to indicate that they are because it uses the word "surges" but when I read the article it is not clear.
When I watch the video, Henry twice says that we will have to wait for more data in oncoming days to learn the effect of the debate on the polls.
This is the RCP average for each state.. reflecting the surges prior to the debate.. as you know, RCP is a lagging indicator. I haven't seen any post-debate polls that support this.
In my view, when there's a huge event- like Hillary's collapse or the debate, polls done prior to that are almost irrelevant.... let's wait and see what the post debate state polls show... so far, not good, though it could be a bump that dissipates... Trump''s tweets don't help... Pence's invisibiltiy doesn't help either
