Because it is a member congregation of the United Church of Canada, which is the largest Protestant denomination in Canada.

The term “Protestant” was originally intended to mean Christian and not RC.

However, in today’s secular world it is easily now inferred to mean anything but Catholic.

Because Some religious denominations think they have the right to label everyone else and yet refuse to themselves accept any labels given to them.

IOW, do as I say, not as I do.

AKA, hypocrisy....
