Victor Hugo is best known in France for his poetry.

A lot of Hugo's novels are swashbucklers; just not as many as Dumas works! :-)

THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME is another of Hugo's great books.

Thanks for that info. On one of the “Extras” on the film last night they mentioned the writings between he and his mistress which amounted to thousands of letters of professed love over 30 or so years. She was given much credit for her writings as well as Hugo.

People just don’t write any more do they:)
