Pence is not saying that man can control the climate, but human activity has or can have some impact on it. For example, if Brazil decided to wipe out the Amazon rain forest by cutting down all the trees, the climate of the Earth would be affected just as the existence of the rain forest is impacting our climate now.
As far as that goes, it is more likely that nuclear proliferation will lead to a large scale climate change (never mind the direct effects!) than could humans’ every day activities.
OTOH, the Dust Bowl, Acid Rain, and the growth of the Sahara Desert are all cases which demonstrate that human activity can have far reaching effects.
Interestingly, the Dust Bowl is a case almost like some of the AWG’ers, where humans presume that the recent past of the environment / climate is the norm. We would do well to remember that, taken over a little longer time period, “Normal is Chicago under a mile of ice.”
For example, if Brazil decided to wipe out the Amazon rain forest by cutting down all the trees, the climate of the Earth would be affected just as the existence of the rain forest is impacting our climate now.
What was there before the rain forest? if it was something bad, how did the rain forest grow?
Too many assumptions for me to take serious, not to mention the lies the enviromentallists have been caught in.
Any way i will vote for Trump and Pence
