‘Putting together that “You have to try the latte” bizarre episode and last night’s Steeplechase grinning and quasi shivering, it seems that she has practiced long and hard how to camouflage her ailment(s) by plastering on a studied grin and holding it there stiffly to avoid a relaxed face from becoming a grimace or some other scary sight, like that creepy face and head movement when the balloons appeared at the Democratic convention.’

This is good analysis. On another thread, someone mentioned the drug they likely have her on to keep her alert for 1.5 hrs. One of the side effects was involuntary twitches and other similar movements. It was probably that.

That certainly sounds like a good hypothesis, too, if the treatment for one or more of her symptoms causes twitching. But none of the various diseases that I know of so far has bizarre grinning as a concomitant symptom. If she didn’t grin, she’d probably growl - or bark.

Another syndrome that includes some of her twitchy symptoms and which I haven’t seen mentioned and which can have adult onset is St. Vitus Dance (Sydenham Chorea):
