Seriously, I think a robot would be a good thing. Or questions projected on a screen. There is no need for a “moderator” in a true, fair debate. Ask the questions. Get the answers. 10 minutes (on a timer) of back-and-forth. Move on.
I think there should be two moderators. Each candidate gets to choose one that will ask questions of his/her opponent.
