Before Republican nominee Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton debate each other Monday, Clinton’s podium needed some adjustments.
Trump is a towering 6’2″ and Clinton is only 5’4″. To even the height field, Clinton’s podium now has plywood placed in the middle, according to WABC Radio Host Rita Cosby. The WABC journalist gained exclusive access to the podiums, which not only show Clinton’s is now a bit larger than Trump’s, but that there is also a small box Clinton might stand on.

I’ve said before: If she were all she’s cracked up to be by the liberal/progressive media, she wouldn’t need any visual compensations to make her appear bigger/stronger. This is absurd. Can anyone envision Jeanne Kirkpatrick demanding a larger podium? She’d be right up there, staring into her physically larger opponent’s face without a thought to their respective sizes.
I think it's reasonable to assume that the "journalist" doesn't know anything about the subject she was writing about.
But, that's not exactly unexpected news. :-)
That podium had better come with a full-body harness, not just a seat belt. There’s no way she’s going to stand unaided for 90 minutes, IMO.
And it will be used to conceal her entire body, so that the various assorted wires, plugs, needles, etc. that are keeping her upright and coherent can be kept hidden.

The debate commission just denied Hillary’s most recent requst for a step stool just the other day.
LOL! The woman with healthy issues needs a custom lectern? This entire affair of coddling and protecting this woman is flat out ridicules. Kinda like what we've had for 8 GD years.

That's what I thought. They would want Trump behind the bigger podium, as it's the ratio of body to podium that determines the perception of scale.
Also, I figured they would just place Hillary's podium closer to the cameras, and they would have the same effect.

BUT SHE wants a bigger podium and who is going to tell HER no?
She should worry less about the podium and more about the microphone. Unless it passes though an Auto-tune or equalizer, she’s going to sound like a nagging ex-wife. And even then, her voice is almost unlistenable.
My thought on the ear piece
Saying no ear piece would not stop her. She’d wear one anyway.
So they tell the moderator no earphone expecting to doing something that will negate all earphones within range of stage.
To me that will be the drama of the night. Remember all microphones will be on all the time. They will pick up every grunt and whistle produced by any part of ILLarys body

All the lectern size is based on her height of 5’4”....she had better not wear a 2 or 3 inch heel.
The larger one is for Trump. Hillary wanted them to look the same height. If they had the same-sized podium he would seem to tower over her, and she would look insignificant. This is an unfair advantage to her, as it’s been said that the taller candidate often gets more votes. NBC explained it on Today as a way for the stage to look better from the camera’s lens.
