Hillary Clinton is clinging to a lead in most national polls, but Donald Trump has been making up ground as they enter the kickoff presidential debate Monday with dramatically different expectations.
Mrs. Clinton, a lifelong politicians wife turned politician, is hoping to show she is the only serious candidate. Mr. Trump, a novice politician who battered his way through the Republican primary race with insults and a lack of policy, will be at pains to prove he can behave on the biggest stage.

Expectations:
Trump - none really, the media will declare him loser regardless
HRC - live
All Trump has to do is be sincere, talk about what he will do as President..look Presidential and act Presidential, and he’s won..he doesn’t have to destroy Hillary Clinton and beat her to a bloody pulp, he just to show that he can be trusted as President..that he knows what he is talking about, he does that and he wins EASILY..even if the media says that she won(Which of course no matter what they will do..as long as she shows up and doesn’t drop dead on stage she’s won) the people will know the truth
The hildabeast is approaching the job as a politician would. Spend other people's money in entitlements and government employment.
Who has the advantage? People who want a functional managed operation will vote for Trump.
People who will benefit from the hildabeasts spend ourselves into prosperity approach will vote for her.
Based solely on entitlement reception in this country, Trump should see 52% of the popular vote. That may not equate to a majority electoral vote and in case of a tie, joebiden would decide.
Yeah, just like she got a bump in the polls just for 'showing up' after her week off.
Trump needs to remain calm, be Presidential and connect with the 20-30 million undecided voters - speak Directly to them. Almost ignore Hillary and present your policy positions effectively.
Krauthammer just said, "He wins if he's boring." There's some truth to that. . calm and steady with his policy messages, the "common sense" issues that all real Americans can relate to, economy, jobs, the Wall, immigration, the refugees, Islamic terrorism, Safety for your children, school choice, repeal Obamacare, strong Military, lower taxes, less regulations. You know the drill Donald, Go for it!
The debate is a farce, it is set up for her to win. The audience the moderators the venue the line of questions all geared to help the helpless win. If he even attempts to question her comments he will be made the bully and sexist if she comes down on him hard she will get a rounding applause each and every time and be seen as a strong leader and wont take sh## from a man. I will not be watching
Trump has a real grasp of the issues that matter....20 Trillion in debt, the fact that globalists are trying to maneuver us into a war with Russia and China, that our inner cities run by Democrats are a mess, that our US leaders are despised and disrespected over seas, that our trade deficits are ruinous and that the proposed new trade pacts will destroy what is left of our country’s economy. He is aware of the fact that our traditions are under assault and that we are not a country under one flag and under one God anymore and he wants to restore that! Those are the issues that really matter and the rest is just silly pratter one hears at a local liberal forum!
No the house of representatives would decide. Joe Biden only decides on tie votes in the Senate(which rarely happens now since the Pubbies have a majority there)
I have had the same thoughts...the format as designed will favor Hillary as it designed around the psychology of women in terms of how they talk and relate to each other. 2 minutes to answer, 2 minutes to rebut, then 11 minutes or so in a “facilitated” discussion back and forth. It is not a format that will favor a man used to making split decisions and uttering strong declaratory opinions but rather favor passive aggressive “process” chatter which I think will favor Hillary!
I do wish Trump had had debate prep with his daughter Ivanka. I think she has Hillary’s measure and would have given him the best prep in dealing with this type of Debate format. Condoleeza Rice might have been a good prepper for him as well!
Thanks. I stand corrected and shall go back and study my civics book to refresh my 65 YO memory.
