Trying to stigmatize gun owners. But somebody needs to tell them that we won’t be as easy to exterminate as the Kulaks were.
Their methodology was to survey a small number of people and extrapolate the results. I suspect that type of study is unlikely to provide very accurate results due to the widely varying rates of ownership in different areas of the country, and the fact that in some areas with high populations firearms ownership is highly regulated and there may be many firearms owners who will not admit they own firearms.
