Which is why there is a 35% drop in enrollment in education classes and a teacher shortage across the country in its early stages. It will most likely get worse Teachers are treated like garbage and have their students as their bosses. That's like putting a loaded pistol in the hands of a 5 year old.

You got it. Low pay, long hours (for the good, dedicated teacher) and the inmates running the asylum. It is amazing a) anybody goes into teaching or b) stays longer than 3 years.
