There’s a reason we had Japanese internment during the war. When there are poison Skittles in the bag, you seal the bag and keep it sealed.
It doesn’t get discussed today that the French locked up German immigrants (including Max Ernst, accused of ‘spying’) during WWI.
We also don’t hear about what Japan did.
We also knew they were sending intelligence back to the motherland, and didn’t want to just arrest the ones doing it, as this would have given away that we’d broken their codes.
