Does anyone remember the homeless nut who screamed about religion in San Francisco about 15-20 years ago? Somebody followed him and found him living in a shack in the park with his 14 year old daughter. The daughter had been there her whole life, never going to school. They just had an old set of World Books and a Bible. They thought she'd be severely damaged.
You guessed it. She tested out way ahead of her age level in all subjects. To their credit, the SF authorities let her go back to her father and eventually they moved on.
No matter what I Google, I can't find that story. If anyone can, please let me know.

It was like a ton of bricks fell on me. Thus, upon having kids I was prepared to fight daily the accursed effect of even Montessori school’s social propaganda. Educating a child is a daily job for 18-21 years requiring passion, conviction and knowledge.
