For the past few years I’ve grown increasingly disgusted with all of the crap the networks keep loading onto the games, including the endless promos the announcers do for the network’s other shows, the wall to wall commercials, the over the top graphics and sound effects, the snotty little leftist political digs and outright rants a la gun grabber Bob Costa, October pink because they care so much, etc. etc. etc. Kapernick and the NFL’s response to him was the last damn straw. I haven’t watched a single game since, and I used to watch all 3 games every Sunday. I don’t even miss it.

Same goes for Hollywood and the overpaid airhead actors who think their political opinion is golden. When people ask if I’ve seen the latest movie, I usually give them a polite shake of the head. Ditto for TV shows. I have zero interest these days, especially since they’ve become one big all encompassing advertisement for the dangerous homoerotic lifestyle. With the exception of a few, carefully vetted, family friendly movies and documentaries, they get none of my attention or support and haven’t for a long time. If more people felt that way, we could shut them down. Just like with the NFL, they are nothing if no one is watching and all their millions will vanish overnight.

I’m not into sports, hubby is you can’t change a 77 yr old man, he no longer turns on games until after the Anthem is played as he doesn’t want to hear me GRIPE. I stick my nose in my Kindle and tune the crappers out. He wants to see some one take the idiots out is his excuse.

I won’t go near a Panera’s or McD as they won’t let me take my CCW piece in. Don’t do Happy Holiday places either. Buy gift cards and let the grand/great grands kids mom’s do the shopping.

I tried to watch a couple football games but can’t do it without seeing someone wiping their feet or burning a flag. It’s just an invasive image I can’t shake, like seeing a car wreck or ISIS burning someone alive. I’m ruined for watching football.

I not actually watched an NFL game in years, let alone almost any professional sport. That said, the places I think I can make a difference are the media that supports them (Radio stations and any talk shows with sports talk) and companies that advertise on the NFL. Has anyone complied such a list?
