How many times of spinning did it take Rafael to reach his conclusion?

Will vote for is not an endorsement.

Geez. Read his statement.

“Months of soul searching, my butt.”

Perhaps it had been misplaced?

I'm sure others have pointed out the last two paragraphs of his statment, but here is again.

Our country is in crisis. Hillary Clinton is manifestly unfit to be president, and her policies would harm millions of Americans. And Donald Trump is the only thing standing in her way.

A year ago, I pledged to endorse the Republican nominee, and I am honoring that commitment. And if you don’t want to see a Hillary Clinton presidency, I encourage you to vote for him.

Well if not voting for a candidate is a rejection of that candidate, what is voting for one? Definitely better than nothing or waiting until election eve. Granted it was not an enthusiastic endorsement.

“BS, Cruz wanted the prize for himself and was a really bad loser. He demonstrated throughout the primaries he was not able to recognize a real leader who the majority of real U.S. Citizens were actually supporting. Cruz is unscrupulous and has terrible judgement. The man proved that himself repeatedly.”

^^^^^^
Not much there to disagree with. But, in this case, I'm okay with Cruz saying whatever needs to say to save face as long as he is now on board Trump Train. And as Freeper Genoa point out “OK everybody, it costs us absolutely nothing to be magnanimous.”

Agreed, the optics and strategy of this is far more important than beating a dead horse again...we want the other side doing that...this is important because it takes the air out of anything the #NeverTrumpers had left...Cruz was seen as the leader of that movement...this will further solidify the base across a number of demographics...

Stay Focused and Frosty

Trump will be gracious and accept it, though he should ignore it or simply say “Who cares.”

In July Trump said that he didn't want Cruz's endorsement and would not accept it if offered. Why should Trump go back on that now?

Trump just issued a very gracious statement thanking Cruz, so your question is now moot.

“Most flaccid endorsement, EVER.”

Yes it is. We’ve seen Cruzbots flying under the radar/sub rosa here since May: “Yeah. I’m voting for Trump ... I guess.” Same thing here with their Grampa Munster.

And I notice in this thread some comments like, “There you go! Now is THAT good enough for you?!”

And the answer of course is, it’s every bit as good an endorsement as one of his “My Honor is Loyalty” acolytes here thinking—as s/he agrees to stop being a nevertrumper, and Hillary-supporting PITA:
“Yeah, if I’m going to get zotted, I suppose I’ll have to say I support Trump.”
And many still hanging on here will also only go so far and say the same thing, “I’ll vote for him” and with about as much enthusiasm as this statement was issued.

Go get your shine box Flaccid Tead!

No, the question is still valid. Why should Trump go back on what he said in July? For Lyin' Ted Cruz?

Because that is what winners do.
EXECUTE victory...

Honor those who surrender...

That is Ted’s best imitation of a surrender.

Better late than never....

What Cruz needs to do is campaign heavy for Trump these last days.

Furthermore, Cruz needs to bring over as many #nevertrump voters as possible.

By doing that then Cruz can somewhat redeem himself.
