As the group Porno for Pyros sang years ago in the song called Pets, "Will there be another race to come along and take over for us? Maybe Martians can do it better than we've done. We'll make great pets."
Sad but true.
Much of humanity would make horrible pets. Lack of gratitude, unpleasant disposition, biting the hands that feed them.
