I don’t know what American Cheese you’re talking about but every American Cheese I’ve ever seen has “American Cheese Food” as its ingredient.

Mr. Blue Sky. I had to fight every inch of the way to paste this. Worth it, though. I’ll check it to see if it works.

Yes. Joey Vento passed away a few years back and took a lot of flack for it but I think the signs are still up.

Dalessandro’s on Henry Ave. Chubby’s across the street is good too. Remember...(provolone, American or wiz) cheese wit or witout (onions).

“Which one supports Trump”
Probably both but definitely Genos would support Trump. The owner used to run patriotic ads on conservative stations all the time. Joey Votto RIP. Pat’s is like the Soup Nazi. Genos are nicer.

"In Tacony/Mayfair in the 50's-60's..."
If you used to live in the Tacony/Mayfair area, you will know what this song is talking about (i.e., the "El").

Those are the Alstrom cars that replaced the Budd "Almond Joy" cars of 1960 that replaced the Brill center entrance cars of 1907, 1914 and 1922.
The song dates from 1970. I got this group to perform at a dance at Drexel in that year, but I was not impressed with their act.

"Can't Get To Heaven on the Frankford El" - The American Dream I first heard that circa 1970 from a solo act...forget his name now...
Spent many hours riding the El.

Wow, were those 1907 cars pulled by horses? :-) (That was a wee bit before my time!) If memory serves me, I once saw the American Dream at the "Electric Factory" (a very long time ago). I only remember two songs they did -- the Frankford El song, and one called "Raspberries". I liked the Frankford El song because it sounded like a good old country song. (One of the rock & roll radio DJ's back then used to refer to someone as "the hillbilly from South Philly", but I don't remember if he was referring to one of them or to someone else. Do you remember that?)

"Hillbilly from South Philly"? Sounds like something the late Hy Lit (Hyman Litvan) of WIBG would have said.
I'm old enough to remember the Brill cars before they were retired in 1960. Horses? No. But their top speed was 45 mph. The Budd cars could do 55.
