Donald Trump Stops off for Some Cheesesteaks at Geno's 9/22/16
(Excerpt) Read more at youtube.com ...
I couldn’t pick a top choice. Too many good ones. Jim’s, Dalessandro’s, Philip’s. Some really good options in South Jersey as well. I just know Pat’s and Geno’s were never high on my list.
Vid seems to have been pulled.
Well tell me where’s good. I’m in search of the best cheese steak.
In Maryland - it’s Marias Delight in middle river. It’s out of the way for me. But when heading to the water, I stop in.
A nice testimony! I took my wife on a business trip to Philly (My first). As we were walking along South Street I was suddenly overtaken by hunger.
Because of the 2nd floor, the grill vent fans are in the wall over the sidewalk just above head high. No better business plan and advertisement was ever conceived!
Now whenever I visit, I park usually at 6th street, buy a all day purple bus pass and head for Jim’s.
(For first timers.....Use public parking garages. Philly wreckers can snatch a parked car off the street without slowing down!)
Thanks.
There goes the Pat’s vote
Wuz dat wid or widoud onions?

Can the Presidential candidate recover from his gaffes at Pat's this week?
Ha. I love onions, I’m sure it was with onions.
OTOH one of the most enjoyable meals I've ever had in my life was at Jim's, after standing in line outside on a chilly November day in the drizzle and then getting inside to have a steak with provolone, peppers and onions, with chips and a Yuengling (hope I spelled it right).
We went upstairs, it was less crowded.
Seriously, though, I'm sure the good people of Philly (we found the locals to be friendly, to tell you the truth) will forgive him for going to Geno's, but next time he's got to go get a real cheesesteak elsewhere.
Yes to all you said.
Also it’s worth noting that that neighborhood can be pretty dangerous after 1 AM or so.
A newly arrived teacher was killed in a parking lot near South Street a few years ago; I think he was from the Midwest. He stayed too late, was accosted when he went to get his car, and lost his life as a result. This was in the last five years.
In Tacony/Mayfair in the 50's-60's there was no such thing as CheezWhiz on a steak...that would have been the end of that shop. Somehow this gross aberration of 'Whiz has been allowed to fester over the years...not unlike HRC.
this is a good video
link post in this thread so thanks to the FReeper that found it

That’s $43.8million annually.
Seems excessive.
Knowing Trump, I’m very sure he gets a great deal in that jet for maintenance and provisions.
What’s fuel running these days?
Donald J. Zelig.
“The reality is that every neighborhood has (or had) a great steak and hoagie shop. “
There may be great cheese steak sandwiches all over Philly, but I have yet to find one elsewhere!
You would think that with all the great cooking here in the South that someone could get it right. Alas, gastronomical abominations abound.
I have simply given up. I make them for myself now and then but the rolls just aren’t quite right and a flat-top grill is an essential ingredient.
I pray for business trips to Philly. The Yanks did get ONE thing right.
Link is no bueno.
Tx..
YES !! They totally are !
