It may be proverbial "Scottish verdict" time. She skates, but never ever has a police job again.

This statement takes me back in time living in England. In a murder trial in England it was "Guilty" or "Not Guilty." Scotland had these two alternatives as you will know but also "Not Proven". It meant the case could be revisited.

I had an experience as a raw conscript soldier patrolling on guard duty at night. This on the Suez Canal. All alone. But for the bolt action on the 3.03 Lee Enfield which required three separate movements before firing, I could have shot someone once. Oh, well, not the place for these yarns really.
