Witnesses called it in that the guy who left the car said it would explode. Some of the stories mention that aspect... some omit it.

I highly doubt that the police on the scene knew that. If they did then they would never have moved towards the vehicle. They were clustered around it when they shot him.

Yep. I was wondering about that too. Although, if someone called 911 about a guy with a car that was ‘going to explode’... you’d think dispatch would mention that.
