That is my recollection too, at least so far as GWB standing on stage with BJ and endorsing the scam. If this gets traction we’ll know all about any Bush involvement because the Clintons will use that as a “See, the Republicans were more guilty” escape card (as they tried with the “Colin Powell, meet Mr. Bus Suspension” strategy).
And honestly, that’s fine. Because all corruption needs to be brought to light and have a no tolerance policy. But, promoting a charity does not necessarily mean they gained from the corruption, nor does it mean they were aware of corruption. But, an investigation should be begin and let the law and order chips fall where they may.
