Kurdish forces fired bullets into the home of a Syrian Catholic archbishop as part of a campaign of intimidation against Christians.
Archbishop Jacques Behnan Hindo, who is based in the northeastern Syrian city of Al-Hasakah, told the Fides news agency that he narrowly escaped being shot in the head.
In many cases they expelled the Christians from their homes under the threat of Kalashnikovs, he said. And where they enter, they loot everything.
As belligerents in the Syrian Civil War who oppose the government as well as the Islamic State, Kurdish forces now control one-fifth of Syria and have established Rojava, a semi-autonomous state.
The Syrian Kurds are different in their relationship with the US than are those of Barzani in Iraq (whose relationships with the US goes back at least to the 70’s, but they were betrayed by Jimmy Carter and possibly Geo Bush Sr after the 1991 Gulf War).
I find it hard to find any moderates in Syria, something that the Israelis have known since the 1940’s.
The only innocents are some of the women and children caught in the middle, but even then, they probably would not get the Good Samaritan Award for Christian-Jewish-Moslem Friendship efforts.
I thought they were supposed to be nice.

Confirmation is a good thing.
That helps thanks

O-H-,,,,,!!!
Maybe that’s why these Kurds are attacking the Christian minority, not that that justifies it. I carry no brief for overthrowing Assad anyway, mainly because I don’t think a major confrontation with Russia is worth it. If he wants to protect Christians while he’s at it, all power to him. If the Russians demanded it of him, all power to them. Whoever would replace Assad will be horrible to one degree or another, Kurds are no exception. Assad himself is horrible. WTF America is doing sticking its hand into this bowl of crap is beyond me.
