I used to love decorating for every holiday.
I have tons of stuff.
As time went on and I got older and more tired couldn’t do it with work and all.
Now I’m retired and family is coming from Australia the middle of Oct. so I am dragging out all the Halloween and fall decorations.
Having so much fun putting it all up, enjoying things I haven’t seen in years.
I hear you! It sucks getting old! All my kids live out of town and in the past when they used to come home for Christmas I would go all out and deck the house in a winter wonderland theme,,, The little ones absolutely loved it! Can’t do it anymore like I used too...like you I had to garner some energy JUST to drag my fall deco boxes outta the garage ...What used to take a day now takes days! I guess I’m not handling getting matured quite well just yet LOL!
I have a lot of things for every holiday and it is a lot of work to haul them out and put them up. You are right, it is so fun to put them up and enjoy them. I hate taking them down and putting them away - for some reason they don’t seem to fit in the same bins that I took them from. That will be so fun for you to have family with you from Australia at Halloween - I bet they will enjoy your decorations
