He did not have car trouble. He stopped his suv in the middle of the street half in his lane and half in the oncoming traffic. He left the engine running and got out and started yelling crazy nonsense. His hands were not in the air when he was shot, and I seriously doubt the police were ordering him to go back to his vehicle. If he had gotten back in his vehicle, who knows how many people this “unarmed victim” would have killed.

A lot of folks have ASSUMED this was a “hands up, don’t shoot” case only based upon limited video from an overhead helicopter. I expect things won’t be quite so clear cut when ALL the evidence comes out. I’m holding off forming an opinion until they release the dash cam video/audio & any available body cam recordings.
He was walking away from the police, in defiance of their orders, he went to his vehicle, reached towards his pockets or into the vehicle, I’m not clear yet on which—you don’t do that and expect to live to tell the story.
