A Sikh bar owner in the US is being hailed as a hero for helping capture the 28-year old Afghan-American wanted for the weekend bombings in New York and New Jersey.

The Sikhs are a force to be reckoned with. They are Indians but not Hindus NOR Muslims. They USED to be India's police and military because NO ONE wanted to mess with them. With those turbans and beards, they would be left alone. The women don't wear turbans but, beards...hmmm. :o)

I am NOT AT ALL surprised that India produced these people, different faith, different customs, different everything.

Sikhs I’ve known are humble great folks.

The way to differentiate Sikh Headwear from Muslim, is the Sikh’s turban Always is wrapped to point to the sky (god).
Islam turbans are coiled like a snake.

The Sikhs wear very colorful and stylish turbans. The unshorn hair custom is something that needs change, however.

A Sikh regiment is the most decorated regiment in the Indian army, think that dates back to the pre-British Indian army.

Check out how seriously a Sikh soldier takes duty.
