If you want to mess with a Hillary Clinton supporter's blood pressure, just ask why the media and voters are holding Clinton to a higher standard than Donald Trump when it comes to telling the truth. If you do raise the subject, be prepared for faces to get red, neck veins to bulge and obscenities and conspiracy theories to soon follow. It seems almost crazy to say it, but even as the bulk of the news and entertainment media routinely compare Trump to Adolf Hitler or seem otherwise dead set against his candidacy, the voters continue to show that they're simply not willing to disqualify him based on his history of false statements and contradictions.

And Trump is spouting this kind of misleading stuff on a regular basis. According to Politifact, only 4 percent of what Trump says on the campaign trail is true, compared to 23 percent for Clinton. A whopping 35 percent of Trump statements are rated "false," and an 18 percent chunk get the "pants on fire" designation, meaning extremely untrue, while just 11 percent of Clinton's comments are rated "false," and only 2 percent "pants on fire."

Politifact is biased. They actually denied that Hillary said she was going to raise taxes on the middle class and accused Trump of pants on fire lying when he reported her comment: "By analyzing the sound waves, we can see that Clinton was saying "aren’t," because she definitely pronounced the "n," though she didn’t really hit the "t.""

Whatever she meant to say, she did say that she was going to raise taxes on the middle class. Calling Trump a liar for relating that just shows where Politifact is coming from. Source

The writer, Jake Novak, does not cite one lie. Instead he uses the ratings of Politifact to support his conclusions. It is a biased fact checker ran by the Leftist Tampa Bay Times. You can't trust them for giving objective ratings of any conservative. Ever.

To a liberal, someone who does not believe in the existence off facts or truth, lies are what are spoken by the enemy. Truth is what is spoken by the liberals. A liberal and a non liberal who are contending can say precisely the same thing with the same words and diction and the liberal press will report the nonliberal as having purveyed a lie and the liberal as having spoken courageous truth. It has nothing to do with what is said or how it relates to objective fact and everything to do with who says it.
