Jim, she’s either very sick or dead.

Take your pick.

Wanna bet the odds of her showing up at next week’s debate?

They don’t look good.

Hillary is done.

I think she will show up at the debates. Her thinking is clear— she just has no energy. By that I mean that she finishes her sentences and includes big words and parenthetical clauses without getting mixed up. She was able to do that on the plane, a couple days ago. Trump can win the debate, of course, but never count on a lucky break like Hillary fainting or something. Especially since the press will spin everything against Trump.

The debate is truly D-Day.

The Democratic powers that be have to make a go, no-go call before Monday for a bunch of reasons.

(1)If she is ever going to drop out she will muddy the waters for the new Democratic candidate by being in the first debate. They will want their new candidate to get maximum exposure given the limited time remaining before the election.

(2) If she drops out before the debate then it would be reasonable to postpone it, giving the new candidate time to prepare.

(3) She is spending a ridiculous amount of money on September ad buys—that is all wasted if a new candidate is to be chosen at any point. Every day of delay is more wasted dollars.

(4) I am convinced based on specific (somewhat obscure)state polls (ME and NM, for example) that she is under-performing big time on the internal polls. The fact that she is only polling at 50% in CA with the biased media polls means she is running at least ten points behind Obama 2012 nationwide.

(5) The “attack Trump” strategy has not worked. The Democratic pros now realize they need a candidate with lower negatives (unknown is OK) that won’t scare the public.

(6) A new candidate can present a more moderate face to the public and reassure them about immigration and other topics. Even Merkel has finally admitted she messed up—in Germany. The elites all talk to each other—I think the Democrats may try a little mea culpa and spin to the center on this topic.

(7) I am sure international leaders have been discussing this at the UN this week—Obama’s speech expressed what many of them feel—they need to stop Trump and what they have tried so far is not working.

Just my take—we will see.
