This thread is not about polls, but I had to go and look at the NY poll. Do not know anything about te Siena polling organization, but a few things to note: Clinton's lead had fallen from 25 to 21. In the sample Clinton held her base more (75-10) than Trump held his (67-16). Independent closley divided, and then the shocker, "Clinton leads by a whopping 52 points in New York City and 6 points upstate; they are virtually even in downstate suburbs."

From all I've read hear on FR there is no chance whatsoever that she is leading in upstate NY. It is a high mountain to climb to make up for NYC but this poll is probably so much garbage.

And also, in almost all other polls (though nothing from NY) Trump has solidified his base among republicans.

All I know is that Siena is a liberal arts college.
Take their polls with a grain of salt, I’d say.
