It’s amazing the double standard isn’t it. I was in my teens when Watergate was going on, and every-single-day for the next 10 years it was headline news and top of the news on every channel. It got so bad I remember we banned the word “Watergate” in my house because we got so sick of hearing it, it gave me a headache. It just went on and on and on and on and on Watergate Watergate Watergate Watergate Watergate Watergate. Actually I think it went on longer than 10 years because I remember the press still harping on about it all the way until the mid - late 1980s.
And now look at today. A Presidential candidate uses her political connections to skate from ONE HUNDRED AND TEN FELONIES??? Oh, let’s just brush that under the rug. Matter of fact what does the press do? Why they defend her and bash her opponent relentlessly. And then we got the ten billion other “gates” that are rarely if ever mentioned by the press - IRS gate: whatever happened with that? Lois Lerner and all that? Totally gone, never hear about it. Benghazi gate, never hear about it unless Trump brings it up. Matter of fact if you do bring it up liberals moan about it being brought up too much. Lying gate: Hillary Clinton caught lying to Congress and just about everybody else. Never hear about it. Oh yes and then we have the all time champions of “gates”, the Clinton co-Presidency in the 1990s which everybody seems to have forgotten about. FBI filegate, Chinagate, Arlingtongate -selling plots in Arlington cemetery to people who never served. Remember that one? Or Whitehouse gate, renting out the White House like a bordello. Travelgate, Cattlegate, Pardongate, Rapegate, Zippergate, Theftgate on and on and on and on. NONE of them EVER mentioned and she is running for POTUS!
