Looking at the dashcam video and reading up on the case for a few seconds makes it look like the cop did over-react. The kid had a 3-inch knife and while he did turn quickly, he was not advancing on the officers when he was shot, that I could tell. He was shot 16 times in 13 seconds, most of which time he was on the ground in no position to threaten anyone with a 3-inch knife.
I’m gonna have to vote “bad shoot” on this one.
Watch this video and then tell me if you feel the same about a guy with a knife, even a 3 inch one, not being that much of a threat.
