As another FReeper on a different thread pointed out, don’t depend on a couple of good shots to end the threat. Follow up until the threat is gone.
I know a man who is doing a long stretch in the penitentiary for doing just that.
A coup-de-grace to the head was probably a bad idea. In hindsight.
