Yes on both! I bout a 640 kB Compaq around 1986, 10 Mb hard drive, and all for only $2,700! If you haven't tried an SSD yet, wow, they are fast and cool (not warm). I got one "by accident" with the most recent purchase, an x201 that plays mail and print server here at home.

That's a fair deal. Lots of new stuff on it, especially the HD and operating system. I don't care about either of those, have plenty of HD and O/S sitting around.

Expanding the number of USB ports is cheap and easy. A big plus to get a USB 3.0 port, if you plan to connect a HD via USB.
