Clinton eyes NC as a firewall in tightening race
This isn't a statement that NC is a must-win for Crooked. Nia-Malika Henderson writes ...
The focus on North Carolina -- a state President Barack Obama carried narrowly in 2008 but lost four years later -- comes as polls show Clinton faltering in other battlegrounds such as Florida and Ohio. A win here would almost certainly offset losses in those states and guarantee her the presidency.
So, a few states are prominent in Crooked's sights. Watch the polls there, and watch for sad faces and look of constipation on CNN sets.
I’ll admit I’m not well versed on the politics of NC, but I’ve considered it part of the “south” and relatively Pubbie; therefore, have been a bit surprised that the polls have been so close there.
I looked at the congress critters and senators from NC. Both senators (Burr and Tillis) are Pubbies, as is their gov, McCrory. There are 13 congressional districts and only 3 have Dim Reps. I realize that state legislatures often kinda jig the districts for various reasons, but district 4 (includes Chapel Hill) and especially district 12 (includes Charlotte and Greensboro) seem a stretch IMHO.

No, thanks. I do not watch CNN.
