Another glaring "missing" stat is, what is the total population of the 20 states studied, or the 11, as the case might be?)

and were all the statistics from the same 20 or 11 states? Or were they picked to from all 57 states to achieve the desired results?

The report indicates that the 20 States are 53.55% of the total population. It is in one of the the tables in the report. That was the figure I used.
