This went on for 16 years until Obama started running for President. They blamed the publicist for the error.

I am sure the Trump campaign is well-aware of all of this. But why should they take the bait and make this a big issue deflecting and distracting from Hillary's many vulnerabilities? Obama is not running in 2016.

The press doesn't look at it because the democrats who feed them the stories to be covered don't give it to the press.

My guess is Obama started the ‘birther’ thing to gain cred in the Chicago black community - or maybe earlier as a college advantage a la Elizabeth Warren - fauxcahontas...

It was picked up by Democrat Opposition Research Groups and used against Obama in a whispering campaign. Then spread to Conservative groups to gin up our outrage.

The liberal press has NO INCENTIVE to be honest about this story - and their handlers sure as hell aren't going to point them in the right direction. Shame on the New York Times and Washington Post... being in the tank to this level is disgraceful..
