The first Sunday of the regular season coincided with the 15th anniversary of 9/11. And while there were still some demonstrations from NFL players during the national anthem, at least one team refrained on that day but wont in Week Two.
Everybody wants to be a part of it and I feel like its no different on our team, Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins told Glen Macnow of WIP in Philadelphia on Friday, via CSNPhilly.com. We got guys, especially myself, who feel very strongly about the topic. Last week, we talked about doing some stuff, but we wanted to make sure we didnt do anything to take away from the folks, the families, that suffered from 9-11. We didnt want to mess with that day, so we left last week alone. But moving forward, Im sure there will be guys that will probably join in.

Bye Bye NFL
when you get to be in the millionaire class there is one segment (entertainment and athletics) that completely lose any notion of reality.
BOYCOTT the NFL.
DON’T WATCH.
If i were an owner I d tell my players that anyone who sits or otherwise disrespects the anthem can expect his locker to be cleaned out and placed on waivers. Then they are free to protest all they want.

Really? Everyone wants to act like a child?
The owner Lurie is a lib.
The NFL has control of the cameras. Just don’t show it unless there’s something in it for them. I don’t ever remember the national anthem being a part of the TV broadcast EXCEPT for the Super Bowl. We are being played. The good news is that the cameras and protests will be over when pink October begins. The NFL knows you will not give it up in protest.
I agree with you
BOYCOTT the NFL.
DONT WATCH. ....
I think that is just what the liberals want. Brandon Marshall lost his best sponsors. I think that is a better way, after the sponsors.
And I thought that football would be an escape form politics.
i won’t be watching. not even to see if they do or not take a knee.
I demand affirmative action for pro football. Only 6% of the players should be black....
Boycott the NFL.
I won’t be watching.
The NFL ?
Of what nation do they think they are the football league?
Most of them don’t last long in the “millionaire class.” They make the big bucks for a few years, then it’s over. I the meanwhile, most of them have burned through the $$ on fast cars, bling and fancy women (or fancy cars and fast women, take your pick). They are too young, too inexperienced and, frankly, too stupid to see past their short NFL careers.
I don’t have facebook or twitter, but can someone send this to the Eagles.com site??? It’s the little 9 year old cerebal palsy kid who does his best ti stand for the national Anthem...
Tell the Eagles to show this to the team...

can I peek at the Packers Vikes game once and a while Sunday night? :-)
A glass stadium that defies Mother Nature best not throw stones or they better be prepared to get the hail out of there.
Philly claims to be the city of brotherly love..
I’d hate to see what a city of contempt for your fellow brother would look like.. Oh wait,, See inner city USA..
Play ball!!!
How about Americans refusing to buy NFL tickets and to watch NFL games as our protest of multi-millionaire athletes with no other marketable skills bitching about America? If you don’t like living here, leave. We are sick of your whining for attention. Play ball and save your immature opinions for the locker room.
Gov’t can’t and shouldn’t put a stop to this, but an employer sure could.
