Not true. After over 20-yrs service, most of it overseas, US bases are US territory.

No information to back that up.

I've heard several vet FReepers (who I assume were/are elderly) say that's what they were told.
(Sorry, I can't remember their handles, so I can't ping them to verify.)

Things change. more often from neglect than by legislation. Anchor babies come to mind.
