“Kasich is putting his bank account before the country.”

Kasich is nearing the end of his term as governor of Ohio. His long shot bid for the GOP presidential nomination failed despite his attempts to curry favor with the national press, Democrats and the GOP elites by stabbing the nominee he promised to support in the back

He is now too old to achieve power by running for a House or Senate seat in 2018. It takes too many years in either legislative body to sit on the back bench, do the bidding of the party bosses, and eventually get a committee chairmanship.

There is no way he’ll get any executive appointment in a Trump administration. Likely he has approached Hilary’s team to trade an endorsement of Hillary for a “significant” position in her administration. He’s either been offered a minor role, beneath what he considers his value, or he can’t get a firm commitment. If he has any intelligence he should know the big prizes in a Hillary administration are going to the Dem insiders, not a turncoat white male powerless former GOP governor.

Now it appears he is trying to leverage support for TPP to finagle some lucrative corporate board assignments when he leaves the governor’s mansion. However, what does Kasich have to offer any corporation? He has been out of Washington for a long time. He will have no influence with either a Trump or Democrat administration. Most CEO’s would consider him to be untrustworthy by his public behavior. CEO’s want people they can rely on sitting on the board, not a potential traitor. Finally, as a career politician he has no business skills, knowledge or acumen to bring to board deliberations.

A job as a political commentators a mainstream news network seems like even a greater long shot than his presidential run. Like most establishment GOP politicians he has zero charisma. He is boring on camera. Plus he has no insight to offer. His pathetic vote count in 2016, outside of Ohio, demonstrates he has no audience appeal.

John Kasich is simply a pathetic creature at the end of his political career. His own actions have made him powerless and irrelevant. His best hope may be academia, perhaps a third or fourth tier college is looking for a president. The perfect position for a man who enjoys pontificating in public and pretending to be morally superior to everyone around him.

Excellent summation of a useless RINO on the downslope of a political career.
