So going by the shadows, it's morning. She's spent the night at her daughter's apartment, she's filmed/photographed leaving the apartment, getting into the vehicle that takes her to the Memorial, which she leaves around 9.30. She's seen leaning against a bollard waiting for a vehicle into which she is bundled, unable to move head, body and legs, and driven away.

I looked up the angle of the sun for NYC on 9/11/2016 at 11:30AM and then plotted it on a map.

Sun rays will intersect 26^th St. at an angle of roughly 30°.

And they do.

I then looked up the angle of the sun for 9:30AM, the azimuth is 115°, which is almost directly down 26^th St.

I think there's no need to worry about the time the photo was taken.

(What a way to kill a morning, time for coffee!)

Anyone in NYC or familiar enough with it, or with lots of brain, who can determine the time of day from the shadows? I think FN is on to something.
