Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton returned to the campaign trail on Thursday, after having to miss several days due to pneumonia, and pledged that she would not step down from the race.
Speaking at an event in Greensboro, North Carolina, Clinton began by saying, “It’s great to be back!”
“I recently had a cough that turned out to be pneumonia. I tried to power through it,” she added, “but even I had to admit that a few days of rest would do me good.
“I’m not great at taking it easy even under ordinary circumstances, but with just two months to go until election day, sitting at home was pretty much the last place I wanted to be,” said Clinton.
"I want you to think with me for a minute about how I certainly feel lucky when I’m under the weather I can afford to take a few days off," she continued. "Millions of Americans can’t."
The speech marked the first time Clinton appeared in public since she nearly fainted and was evacuated from a 9/11 memorial service in Manhattan on Sunday.
Clinton's doctor later revealed that she was suffering from pneumonia, with which she was diagnosed the previous Friday, and that the incident at the memorial was a result of dehydration and overheating.
On Wednesday, Clinton's campaign released an update on her medical information, including a statement from her physician, Dr. Lisa Bardack, who stressed that Clinton remains “healthy and fit to serve.”

She started having trouble handling her oral secretions during her press conference -— anyone with medical training should have noticed that.
... That’s why her “aspirational” speech given today may not be a pun — I think she actually aspirates on her own saliva — thus, therefore aspiration pneumonia repeatedly.
Good, she will do just great... cough, cough.... cough...cough.
Which means that somebody in the DNC hierarchy has asked her to do so.
“I feel in no ways tahhrd.”
Says the woman who’s been out of commission for a week.
Powered through. Liar she is.
“power through it”.
Somebody on a different thread started a drinking bingo game that called for a shot for every “power through it” reference. Time for a Jaegermeister, y’all.
Bet the ranch, she said she’s staying in. That means she’s out!

This reads like a bad parody.
Hillary is going to take her party down with her. Then again, its always been all about her.
Which is why she’s the Leona Helmsley of American politics.
Falling down, however, is always an option....as long as there’s a post to lean on and the evac team is on scene.
The campaign trial, eh? I suppose she pleads not guilty...
No problem, as long as the debate audience can applaud her loudly every 6 or 7 seconds.
Her large pantsuits on are fire again.
Her own ‘husband’ says she sleeps hours on end. She’s been the doziest candidate since maybe James Buchanan. She has a future schedule lighter than air and even that is too much for her.
But, of course, they ARE stuck with her. As I predicted.
