To: Paine in the Neck

This looks very bad on the surface; what I’d want to see is some context and some independent investigation. The bank takes the hits but I expect that then it gets it back in card usage charges. Same as they might take hits on little disputes about retail purchases.

How do we know this isn’t the donors lying? They, too, would know that to push this over $100 would mean the bank could come back at them.

Why aren’t Trump supports complaining?

More likely, it is a way for Wells Fargo to contribute to her campaign without having to report it.
