This is, actually, interesting in a very unexpected way. It is Hillary's mendacity that opens her infirmity to a level of mockery it would never be allowed to reach otherwise. Any normal candidate gets sick, it's "oh, too bad, I hope she gets better" even from her political opposition. But when the reaction is a furious denial and lie after lie after obvious and ridiculous lie, the focus is on this pattern of behavior that has typified her public persona, her career, her entire life. In short, she has forfeited sympathy simply by being what she really is, and the people around her have attracted scorn and ridicule simply for being what they really are.
That's pretty rough justice. But it has been earned in detail and will be meted out in detail. Seven weeks now. I think they're stuck with her. And there's a justice there too.
