16th Amendment
Amendment XVI

The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several states, and without regard to any census or enumeration.

Until this is repealed, or declared null and void because of the way it was ratified, what Donald Trump is proposing is Constitutional. This seems to do something positive for working families, especially with two parents.

Remember, the there are 9.9 million more government workers than manufacturing workers right now. That ratio has to be reversed in order to return to a Federal Government funded by tariffs, duties, and apportionment among the several states.

So, by all means, we need to win the White House with Donald J. Trump. He is our last chance.

Many people have a misconception about the 16th Amendment and the income tax. Income tax one wages are considered an excise tax and have always been constitutional. What the 16th Amendment did was overturn Pollock v. Farmers's Loan & Trust Co. in which the Supreme Court declared that taxes on rents, dividends and interest were taxes on capital and thus were direct taxes that needed to be apportioned among the States in accordance with Article I, Section 9, Clause 4. Repeal of the 16th Amendment would prevent the direct taxation of these sources of income but still allow for an income tax on wages.
