I wonder how much of this is personal.

Early on, Levin had Trump on his show a couple of times, and it was all roses. Trump said how he always listens to Mark; Mark was polite and seemed to like some of Trump’s ideas.

Then, when Trump went after Cruz and started spending time on issues not in accordance to Levin’s philosophy, I bet Mark felt used by Trump. He had given Trump access to his vast audience, and now he wasn’t staying in line.

Same thing happened to Levin with Paul Ryan years ago. He was on the show; mutual admiration society, then when Ryan veered away from true conservatism, Levin must have felt used.

And, what I’d love to ask Mark is, what is the alternative to Trump?

Levin goes on and on how we don’t know how Trump will act on certain issues, whether he’d be good or bad.

Well, we DO know what Clinton will do, and we DO know it will be bad.

So unless Levin is backing this notion that the country needs to really fall into the abyss a la Carter, to set up being rescued by Reagan (who right now happens to be Cruz, Levin’s first choice for President coincidentally), all I can say is - we’ve already had 4 utterly miserable years under the messiah and the corpse of HRC is still winning in the polls. How much worse do things have to get for that theory to work?
